What makes the Epitome E special?

First, you Drill No Holes in your vehicle to install.

Second, an exclusive to a2z, patented adjustable knuckle (pictured to the right), beside yielding an endless range of forward and reverse angles (22, 10° locking positions), absorbs the vast majority of road energy, yielding the most stable laptop platform desktop available. Stable enough for playing a DVD movie without skipping.

Finally, the mounting system at the top of the pedestal is designed with a standard 8-hole pattern to mount to a variety of cradles and devices - from touchpads, PDA's, hand-helds, cameras, etc.

How does the Epitome E attach so that you do Not Drill Holes in your floor?

Pictured to the left is a ball-joint device, mounted on our base plate. The ball-joint is self-described as a "patented split ball" design, which allows for positioning your desk on three planes. You can "tilt 90°, turn 360° and rotate 360°" your desk, all from a single knob control.

A hex-stud welded on the far left of the pictured plate, with a tuning-fork like bracket (front right) that connects to your existing passenger seat bolt are the major components to the No-Drill system.

Pictured (above) on the right side of the mounting plate are two chrome-plated glider screws which are used to tension and level the base plate (similar concept to a vehicle leaf spring), thereby absorbing road shock and stabilizing the entire workstation. While there will be some 'bounce' on the desktop, but, rest assured that your hard drive and data are Not exposed to excessive shock.

Change vehicles? By design, the purchase of a new vehicle does Not mean you need to purchase a new desk. Simply give us a call and let us know what your new vehicle is, and usually for under $20.00, a new bracket will be all you need to change - making the Epitome E an investment that will continue to yield returns for years to come!
Change computing devices? Removal of two screws will permit the installation of the 'normal' Epitome top stud, which will accommodate our desktop. Call us when you are ready!

The Epitome E is constructed of 1" and 1 1/8", .059 thick-wall aircraft grade aluminum tubing.

The Epitome E has an infinite number of height and rotation adjustments.

The Epitome E is collapsible for easy storage convenience.

The Epitome E ranges in height adjustment from 24½" to 28½" at horizontal, but the top can be as low as 12" by using the flexibility of the adjustable knuckle.

Epitome Adjustments

Heavy duty spring loaded Snap-Buttons give the upright sections horizontal and rotational stability. Both the upper and lower sections of the Epitome E have separate controls - allowing you to adjust either upright tube height according to your particular needs.

For added stability, we have added Nylon B-Clamps. The tension is controlled by a single thumb-screw. The B-Clamps act as a 'girdle' and stabilize where the 1" tube inserts into the 1 1/8" tube.

The Patented adjustable knuckle (pictured to the right) gives you the ability to adjust the uprights to an endless range of forward and reverse angles (22 - 10° locking positions) by squeezing the knob and selecting the angle best for your situation. The adjustable knuckle absorbs the vast majority of road energy, yielding the most stable laptop platform available. Combine this with the ball-joint on our No-Drill base mount's "patented split ball" design, allowing for positioning your desk on three additional planes, and you can "tilt (180°), turn (360°) and rotate (360°)" your desk, all from a single knob.
